Function Naming Conventions

Public functions in dccp-tp are named with prefixes to indicate their usage restrictions. The following conventions are used:
  • dctpo — These functions are provided by the port environment (the operating system). They can be called by any code.
  • dctpa — These functions provide the interface between the port code and the dccp-tp core code; they are the API. They can be called by any code, but are usually called by the port environment code.
  • dctpi — These functions provide support that is internal to dccp-tp. They can only be called by dccp-tp core code.
